Hey Divas,
February arrives wrapped in hearts, but the kind of love we’re talking about here goes deeper than flowers and chocolates. It’s the love that steadies us. The love that connects us. The love that reminds us we belong to something bigger than our individual lives. Love, in all it's forms, is the most powerful and overcoming force of all.
🌊 Love of the Ocean
For many of us, the ocean is one of our first and greatest loves. She doesn’t ask where we came from, what season of life we’re in, or who we voted for. She meets us exactly where we are—tired, hopeful, grieving, joyful—and says, Come in anyway.
The ocean teaches us that love can be powerful without being possessive, vast without being distant, and grounding even as the waves are moving.
🏄♀️ Love of Surfing and Movement
Surfing is a long-term, committed relationship. A relationship with patience. With humility. With joy. With falling down and getting back up again. Every paddle out is an act of trust. Every wave ridden is a small love letter to being alive in your body.
Movement, whether it’s surfing, paddling, yoga, walking, or stretching on the living room floor, is one of the most honest ways we can say: I care about myself enough to show up.
💖 Self-Love, the Quiet Kind
Self-love doesn’t always look like confidence, smiles, and glowing skin. Sometimes it looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like boundaries. Sometimes it looks like turning off the noise and choosing kindness toward yourself when the world feels loud, heavy, or unsettled. Loving yourself in midlife is a radical act. It’s choosing compassion over criticism and softness over self-abandonment.
🤍 Love for Everyone
This month, we’re reminded that love is not meant to be exclusive. It’s meant to ripple outward.
When things feel tense, confusing, or heartbreaking beyond our own shores, love becomes less about fixing and more about holding space. About choosing empathy. About remembering our shared humanity.
You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to take sides. Sometimes love simply says: I see you. I care. I’m holding you in my heart.
✨ February Intention
This month, let love be your anchor. Love for the ocean that holds you. Love for the body that carries you. Love for yourself as you are. And love for others, even when understanding feels incomplete.
May your heart stay open, your feet stay salty, and your spirit stay kind.
With lots of love, waves, and salty sea spray,
Carol Ann 🌊💗 Founder, Pink Divas Surf Club
